Thangamayil Jewellery Limited – Gift Card Terms & Conditions (Detailed Version)
These Terms & Conditions apply to the purchase, issuance, usage, redemption, and expiration of Thangamayil Gift Cards issued by Thangamayil Jewellery Limited. By obtaining or using a Thangamayil Gift Card, you agree to be bound by the following detailed terms.
1. Definition and Nature of the Gift Card
1.1 A Thangamayil Gift Card is a prepaid value card issued in physical format and may be used to purchase jewellery products at any of Thangamayil's operational or future showrooms across Tamil Nadu.
1.2 The card is not a credit card, debit card, or charge card, and does not bear interest. It holds no monetary value until activated.
1.3 It is transferable, but non-refundable and non-reloadable once issued.
2. Purchase and Activation
2.1 Customers may purchase one or more gift cards of any denomination of their choice, subject to availability and company policy.
2.2 Payment can be made in:
- Cash, subject to regulatory limits and applicable KYC norms.
- Approved digital methods, such as UPI, net banking, or card payment.
2.3 Upon full receipt and confirmation of payment:
- A system entry will be made recording the customer’s name, contact details, value of card(s), and unique card identifiers.
- The customer will receive a receipt voucher and physical gift card(s).
3. Gift Card Structure
3.1 Each gift card will contain the following:
- Visible Serial Number: Printed on the card’s face for identification.
- Hidden Security Code: Concealed under a scratch panel. This must be revealed only at the time of redemption.
3.2 Both numbers are system-linked and must match at the time of redemption to validate the card.
4. Ownership, Transferability, and Risk
4.1 Gift cards may be freely gifted or transferred by the purchaser.
4.2 Redemption will be honored to any bearer in possession of the card and matching security code. No ID proof or ownership verification will be sought.
4.3 Thangamayil shall not be liable for:
- Loss or theft of gift cards.
- Unauthorized usage by third parties.
- Misplaced or damaged cards.
Responsibility for safekeeping lies solely with the purchaser or holder.
5. Validity and Expiry
5.1 Each gift card is valid for 365 days (1 year) from the date of issuance, as recorded in the system and printed on the receipt.
5.2 No extension of validity will be permitted under any circumstance.
5.3 Expired gift cards shall be deemed void and non-redeemable.
6. Redemption Process
6.1 Gift cards are redeemable only at live Thangamayil showrooms. This includes any new branches launched after the card was issued.
6.2 Redemption Procedure:
- The card must be physically presented at the showroom.
- To redeem online, scratch the hidden code, take a photo of it, and email it to [email protected].
- The scratch panel must be removed in-store to reveal the security code.
- The serial number and security code must match our internal records.
- Upon verification, the gift card value will be fully adjusted against the purchase invoice.
- The card will be retained by the store after redemption and not returned.
6.3 Redemption is subject to:
- Single-use only. Partial balance redemptions are not allowed.
- No cash refunds will be issued in place of unused balances.
- The card cannot be used to purchase another gift card or be exchanged for cash
7. Applicable Products and Limits
7.1 Customers may redeem gift cards against any jewellery product sold by Thangamayil, including:
- Gold
- Silver
- Diamonds
- MRP-based fixed price jewellery
- Ornaments, gifts, and accessories
7.2 There are no product category restrictions at the time of redemption.
8. Refunds and Cancellation
8.1 Once issued and activated, gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be canceled or reversed.
8.2 Customers cannot claim a cash refund for the gift card’s value under any circumstance.
8.3 In the rare case of a system error or duplication, Thangamayil reserves the right to void or re-issue a corrected card with appropriate documentation.
9. Fraud and Abuse
9.1 Thangamayil reserves the right to:
- Decline redemption of any card suspected to be fraudulent, counterfeit, or tampered.
- Block or cancel gift cards found in violation of these terms.
- Seek legal recourse in the event of misuse or fraud.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Thangamayil shall not be liable for:
- Any loss, damage, or expense arising from use or misuse of the gift card.
- Delays in redemption due to technical or operational reasons.
- Disputes between the original purchaser and bearer of the card.
10.2 Our maximum liability in any case shall be limited to the original value of the gift card at the time of issuance.
11. Changes to Terms
11.1 Thangamayil reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue these terms and conditions, or the gift card program itself, at any time without prior notice.
11.2 Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our official website or at showroom locations.
