Do I need to sign up an account to place an order?

You can browse through the collection and select the jewel you like. But at the time of purchasing from the cart, you will be required to create an account which is fairly a simple process. Creating an account will ensure you purchase in a safe and secure environment.

By creating an account and registering with us you'll be able to enjoy the following benefits through your Thangamayil account:

What should I do, if I have forgotten my password?

How do I know that the products you sell are BIS Hallmarked?
We can guarantee that every item we sell is BIS Hall marked Jewel. The same way, Diamond and Platinum jewellery will be accompanied by a certificate which establishes the genuineness of the product.
Are the colors of products shown on the website accurate?
Care has been taken while photographing the jewels to provide the users with better viewing experience and make it appear as accurate as possible. High resolution pictures of the Jewels are captured to give the users the feel of design, the way it is crafted, the expertise and the workmanship, the color and the size in detail. However, there can be a slight variation in the photograph with the actual product and the cause can be due to lighting, camera and sensor quality, photo effects, reflection of stones or the background etc.
How do I know if an item is in stock?

Majority of the products displayed on the website will be available in stock as only stock on hand products ensure a hassle free and quick delivery to the customer. However, sometimes there may be a situation where the particular product is either sold or not available. In such a case Thangamayil will arrange it either from a third party or manufacture the same in their factory and will pass on the information to the customer either through email or through phone. In situations where the neither of this is possible the amount will be refunded to their respective account.

For diamonds and other precious stones or semi – precious stones, irrespective of the displayed information the sale will happen only based on availability and the customer’s acceptance. In such a case, prices may vary.

Is it safe to use my credit card online at Thangamayil ?
We take appropriate precautions to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information. We encrypt certain sensitive information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that your Personally Identifiable Information is safe as it is transmitted to us. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Does Thangamayil ship to multiple addresses?
Unfortunately, we can ship items only to a single address as per order. If your order contains gifts or items that require shipping to multiple locations/addresses, you will need to place separate orders for each address.
Do I need to sign for my order?
Due to the high value of the goods that we sell and in the interest of our customers, we require proof of delivery for all orders. This is to ensure additional security and hence it is imperative that the customer who has made the purchase sign for the package. We will not be in a position to authorize packages to be delivered without the customer’s signature.
Can I change my shipping address after my order has been dispatched?
We are unfortunately unable to redirect orders once your items have been dispatched. Therefore, please ensure you provide a suitable shipping address for the specified delivery times.
Can I add items to an existing order?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to combine orders or add items to an existing order. If you would like all your items to be delivered together, you will need to cancel your order/s (this you can do only if the order has not already been dispatched) and place a new order which contains all the items you require. Please refer Cancellation process in the Terms and Condition section.
How will I know you received my order and when will payment be deducted?
After you place your order, you will be sent an email confirmation that your order has been confirmed. The amount will be debited from your credit/debit card/netbanking at the time of placement of order itself. In a rare circumstance that any of the items you have ordered are not available, we will contact you by email and will only charge your credit/debit card for the value of the items in stock.
How can I track my order?
Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. You can also check the status of your order by logging into your account.
Is my package insured?
All Jewellery bought online will be fully insured against theft, damage or loss on transit from Thangamayil to the shipping address. Once your items have been delivered to the specified delivery address and signed for, they are no longer covered by insurance.
What packaging will my order be shipped in?
Thangamayil Jewellery takes special care in the package of the user’s precious purchase. The jewels purchased are secured in a metal box, layered with durable and tamper proof seal along with the security tag from TMJL. Every packing is video covered for security reason.
How can i ensure my product arrive safely?
We do send the items in a metal box with tamper proof package along with the certificates (if any). If your box is damaged upon arrival, we recommend that you either refuse the delivery, or make a note when signing for it that you are accepting a damaged box.
Is my personal information kept private?
We understand that privacy is important to you so your privacy is of high importance to us and Thangamayil works to ensure that the users privacy is protected when using our service. Thangamayil.com has a policy setting out how the personal information of a user is processed and protected. Users can visit our website to find the changes(if any) has been made to the user policy. Thangamayil Jewellery will not make any financial benefits or sell or lease the user information to any third party. When processing your order online we require your billing address, shipping address, telephone number, credit card number and expiration date. If necessary, these details may be shared with a credit reference agency to verify your order. We may use your contact details to inform you of the latest arrivals of the latest trendy collections / designs & other new services via email. How do I return a defective product?
Please refer to our Refund Policy. You can find a link to it at the footer. Alternatively you can write in to us through the contact email ID provided at the footer or reach us via the toll free number displayed prominently in the site.
What if a product/s is out of stock?

Thangamayil makes every reasonable effort to keep all products in stock. However, there may be times when unforeseen demands go past supply. In such an event, Thangamayil will try to arrange it either from a third party or manufacture the same in their factory and will pass on the information to the customer either through email or through phone. There can be a change in the price of jewel.

When the above said arrangements fail to fructify, Thangamayil shall promptly inform the customer through email and credit their source bank account within few working days.

What are the payment options supported by Thangamayil?

We are flexible with the payment options. You have many choices.

  • 3. Netbanking(PayU, ICICI bank, Citrus)
  • 4. NEFT/RTGS
  • 5. Pay On Delivery(For amount within the range 2,500 INR to 25,000 INR)

How do I register?

How do I update my information or preferences?
By logging into your account, you can update your personal information and preferences. This includes your home address, phone numbers, shipping addresses, communication preferences and user password.
How do I go about purchasing an item of my choice?

As you browse through various categories of products, click on items of your choice for detailed product and pricing information. You are taken to the product page wherein a zoomed in view of the product is presented upon hovering the mouse over the product image. Click ‘Buy Now’ button if you are satisfied. You land in Shopping cart page.

Specify the quantity of the item in the Shopping cart page. From this page two course of actions are possible. i) You can proceed to checkout by making payment(clicking ‘Proceed’ button) and following the simple instructions. ii) You can add the product to the cart(clicking ‘Update Shopping Cart’ and then ‘Continue Shopping’ button) and go ahead with shopping. Once you have gathered all the items you wish to purchase, select any one of Checkout Options and walk through the steps indicated in the screen.

Is there any minimum order value that I need to order for online purchase?
No such cut-off limit. You are free to shop any single commodity as per your need.
Do you have EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) facility?
Right now we do not offer EMI facility but you can purchase for as minimum as you wish.
Can I track the shipment of my order?

Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. You can also check the status of your order by logging into your account.

You can also track the status of your order using the Track My Order link found in the footer. You can enter the order ID and email address to get a glimpse of the shipment status.

During what timings of the day can I expect delivery?
Deliveries of products are made during office hours of the courier agent mostly between 9 am - 6 pm IST.
What happens if I am not at my delivery address at the time of delivery?
In addition to the first failed attempt, the courier agent will make two other attempts for re-arranging the delivery. If all the attempts go futile, the package will be shipped back to the office of Thangamayil Jewellery Ltd and all the cost incurred through the shipment shall be borne by the customer along with the handling charges.
Can someone else in my family sign for the package on my behalf?
Anyone in your house can sign for the parcel provided they produce some proof of identification.
Can you help us in customizing the product after I purchase?
We can entertain customization requests only at the time of placing the order.
